BBCode not really efficient

Post by AleS » 2010-02-20 11:27

Hi Fred,

Ok to create articles (the most useful) based on the former Interakt forum (one already do for PHP5.3), but BBCode is not really efficient, particularly for so long text. It misses a Wysiwyg text something like KTML !

I guess it's not possible to replace this editor by KTML (hummm! why not, enough person on this forum will have licenses available for that). If not, does it exists software to translate from HTML to BBCode ?

Did you somehow miss the main site? ;)

Instead of having load of "unrelated" discussions to work through we summarise them and post on the main site with a link back to the forum per category / product for further discussion. The articles and files are subjected to approval by an admin simply to ensure that no spammy or uncompleted stuff get posted to the main database.

The same with patched files.
They get uploaded to the main site.

Discussions is obviously welcome and whatever comes out of a discussion will eventually be summarised and be posted on the main site. Hopefully by the member that started the discussion.

As for php 5.3... there is already some files uploaded and a fairly comprehensive article about the necessary changes.
